World of Sporecraft
A new life simulation game developed by Maxis, Spore, really hits the spot. A few months back when I saw my friend play this game I just thought it was just another game developed by unknown developer. After a few disappointments like Need for Speed Pro Street, I just giving up buying a new game and stick to World of Warcraft, until my friend told me that this game is a huge hit in his campus, everybody seems excited to play it.
So I googled it, found out that this game was developed by Maxis. So I decided to try it. First impression, The Sims look-alike but in different perspective. Instead of creating a human, we creating our own weird looking creature. Consists of six stages; in first stage you have to make sure your creature cell get enough food by eating plant cell (for herbivore), meat cell (for carnivore) or both (for omnivore). Then your creature will evolve, you will get new body parts. So, your creature will keep on evolving to tribal stage, civilization stage, and soon to the outer space. Your journey actually began during this stage where you have to explore a vast galaxy and millions of planets (but you don’t have to go to each planet).
But I didn’t expect this game will give a huge impact until I found this site:
Spore fans seem to create this website and upload videos about their creation. I was shocked they created zealot and battlecruiser from Stracraft. And they even created World of warcraft characters out of it! Watch Murloc in action!:
